Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2014 Growth Conference

We were thrilled to discover that Entrepreneur had selected New Orleans for its 2014 Growth Conference.  The event includes a keynote address by Erik Wahl, described by the website as “both a business strategist and artist.”  Break-out sessions include topics ranging from mentoring, to branding, social media client acquisition, and “what your CPA isn’t telling you.”  Participants are invited to pitch their business to the magazine’s editors, for a shot at being featured in print or online.  The event also offers local business owners the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.  Talk about a day well spent!

What’s more, this event has been underwritten by The UPS Store, so it is FREE to attend!  Here’s a link to the registration form:  http://www.entrepreneur.com/events/registration/27.  The event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, from 7:30 until 4:30 at the New Orleans Convention Center, La Nouvelle Ballroom, 900 Convention Center Boulevard.

We feel especially blessed to run a business in New Orleans.  There are so many wonderful resources for entrepreneurs and business owners, including The Idea Village and the Louisiana Small Business Development Center.  It’s amazing how many free and low-cost services are available.  We are also grateful for our local Chambers of Commerce and similar organizations and would really enjoy getting feedback about your experiences with these types of organizations.  It seems that business owners in New Orleans really stick together and support one another, and that creates a very pleasant environment.

If you’re ready to unleash your creativity and energy, the  2014 Growth Conference is a great option.  We hope to see you there!
